Useless Augustus Good for Nothing

       Status: Mumbai resident; mature, largely unemployed. Issues: About to be banned; onset of Alzheimer’s disease a distinct possibility. Unusual features: male Asian elephant, no tusks, sentient. Quite a CV. All he needs now is for his owner to line up that extra special job. He does! Great! Except the job involves a teenage goth, her fearsome mother and a giant of a bodyguard. Then sedate Plan A is scrapped in favour of insane Plan B and suddenly it’s off on a wild trek to New Delhi. An incredible journey to be sure and all the while this aging elephant clings to the hope that, before his mind disintegrates completely, maybe, just maybe, someone will sense his thoughts and learn of his extraordinary life…
